Confidence,
joy & technique.

Dance Capital is a children’s dance and musical theatre school based in Chryston, Stepps and Bishopbriggs, just outside Glasgow. We provide high-quality, fun lessons for ages 18 months to 18 years.

Our approach

Child-centred, technically rigorous.

Our child-centred approach ensures every dancer can reach their full potential in a fun, inclusive and nurturing environment. We combine real technical progress with genuine joy — because the best learning happens when kids love what they’re doing.

Our promise

Every dancer is welcome.

We don’t audition. We don’t gatekeep. We just teach — kindly, expertly, and with a lot of music. Whether your child wants to chase exams or just dance for the love of it, there’s a place for them here.

Miss Susan, Principal & Founder

Miss Susan

Principal & Founder

Miss Susan founded Dance Capital after being inspired by her experience teaching at Ayrshire's Dansarena Studios, launching it to bring quality dance lessons to children and young people in Glasgow. She has been teaching dance to children for over 16 years. Susan graduated from Dance for All at the Theatre School, Edinburgh in 2006 with a Diploma in Professional Stage Dance, gaining her Advanced 2 Modern, Advanced 1 Tap and Advanced 2 National, plus her Student Teaching Certificate in RAD Ballet. She later completed her Diploma in Dance Education in both Modern and Tap (ISTD) under Lesley Wood at the Dance Factory, and a BA (Hons) Open Degree with First Class honours.

Musical Theatre

Lucy graduated in 2024 with a First-Class BA (Hons) in Acting from East 15 Acting School after training in musical theatre at New Clan Arts. She discovered a love for teaching at 16 — tutoring music theory and later becoming a resident singing teacher while training. Now back in Glasgow, she's thrilled to inspire the next generation.
